I always have. I’m not sure when I decided that I believed in it…but, I definitely always have.

This post is a couple months in the making…mostly because it’s so personal…and I can never decide just how personal I want to be on my blog. But…the truth is…my work is personal. I get to know my clients very personally and most become friends. So…I feel a long time overdue in sharing a little bit of my heart here…and it’s entirely appropriate that THIS is the day that I am choosing to share this post…because THIS is the day…one year ago…that I confirmed in my heart that love at first sight really does exist.

One year ago today…I came face to face with this little beauty’s daddy…and I loved him…right then and there. And today…a year later…I have a beautiful baby girl…Suri René Sutton. That’s something I never ever dreamed I’d be able to say. And I feel really thankful today. Thankful for my children…my boys as well as my girl. And ever so thankful that a year ago today I fell in love at first sight.

Happy One Year, Paul…we made it! ;-)

So very long. I’ve been busy…so very busy. Busy with life, busy with work, busy with change, busy with…a little surprise (that I’ll post about very soon). My blog has suffered greatly in the wake of all that has kept me busy for the past few months…and I have so much to share…both images and news! So…I am determined to resurrect this sadly neglected blog and dust off the keys of my laptop. It’s about time!

I am so excited to share these images…for a couple of reasons. First…they are senior portraits for my ever so lovely assistant, Miss Kaylie Brooke. Kaylie has been such an important part of my business and life for the past couple of years…and has truly become like a little sister to me. I adore this girl! Second…we decided to do something very different with these images than my normal style…and I am IN LOVE with the softer look in these images! It’s so easy to find yourself in a creative rut…or bored with your typical style…and this session provided me with a much needed outlet to do something different. I hope you like them!

The time frame that we would need you would be between 10:30 and Noon and we’ll be shooting in the downtown Phoenix area. Models will receive a highly stylized photo session as well as 8-10 high resolution digital files with a print release in exchange for their time modeling.

They are always so much fun to work with. I’ve been photographing Chris Snyder‘s family for about 2.5 years now (if you watch the slideshow of images in the blog header…you’ll see Chris holding their littlest man on his shoulder from his newborn session) and I’ve gotten to watch their little ones grow…their youngest from when he was in his beautiful momma’s belly. I work with a lot of MLB players…and I find it so interesting that nearly half of them are catchers! That’s the position that my brother played…so it’s always kind of surreal and fun for me to get a glimpse at what his life may have been like. It’s a good life…it’s a happy picture.

I’m not going to post any family images of recent sessions so that I don’t spoil any holiday cards…but, I wanted to post some fun ones of the kiddos…and of course of mom and dad.

On another note…I’ve been getting a ton of emails asking if there will be anymore Photoshop training webinars coming up…so YES…there will be ONE more Photoshop class before the end of the year. It will either be an evening or weekend class…but, the date has not been determined yet. It will be announced here, on my Facebook page, and through my newsletter. So…be sure to stay posted in one of those places for the information.

Me and a carton of eggs have a lot in common! TWELVE posts! Just twelve. Twelve is bad. Twelve is unacceptable. 2011 has been quite a year for this girl…and probably someday…probably someday very soon…I’ll explain my gross blog neglect…and you’ll understand…hopefully. But…in the meantime…I’ll just say ‘I’m sorry’ for being such a negligent blogger this year…and let all of you wonderful people who are still checking in here…know that this is THE END of the silence! It’s time to dust this thing off! So…here is to THE GREAT BLOG RESURRECTION OF 2011…I hope you’ll stick around!

And now…on to little miss beautiful! She is one of the many gorgeous little girlies and boys that I’ve had the privilege of photographing this year…and she was truly one of the most fabulous girls’ her age that I’ve ever worked with. Such a beautiful girl…inside and out. Boy did we have fun!

If you follow my Facebook Page then you’ll already have probably heard the news…but, I am now offering online Photoshop training…both private training sessions as well as group sessions. There are two upcoming group classes…one is TOMORROW morning and it has ONE spot left! The following week will be the 2nd group class. I’m so excited about these! It’s something that I’ve wanted to offer for a long time, but it’s taken a while to put all the pieces together for it. I’ve done several private training sessions this week…so I wanted to share a few before and afters from those sessions…as well as a few images from our two SENIOR FOCUS WORKSHOPS this past month. The senior workshops have got to have been my favorite workshops so far…I LOVE working with high school seniors…and the attendees at each workshop were all such lovely people! Ya’ll make teaching workshops such a blast! Thank you for making that part of my job so very much fun! And…thank you to ALL of the models who came out and poured themselves into several hours in front of the camera…ya’ll did a fabulous job! Thank you!
